Quinn's College List — Fall 2026 Working Copy

College Target List

East Coast, closer schools preferred, PA deprioritized per your note · Political Science and Biology, with a broad major catalog as backup · Bonus for theater open to non-majors and figure skating at club level

This list merges two research passes into one working copy: the original PA/New England/NY-focused list, plus a broader East Coast search built around the one-parent financial aid filing question. Costs are sticker price unless a merit note says otherwise — nothing here is a financial aid offer, only an estimate.
Right grades or a slight reach · solid theater · low-to-mid cost · skips anything archived

Overall match

Calculated live from Quinn's entered GPA and test scores compared against each school's own admitted-student numbers. GPA is weighted 60%, test scores 40%. Acceptance rate is shown as context, not scored directly — a numeric match at a very selective school still reads as a stretch, since holistic admissions matter a lot at that level.

Great Match · Reach · Reach+ · Super Stretch — from comfortable admit to genuine long shot.

Cost tiers

Based on total sticker cost of attendance, no financial aid assumed: Affordable ($5–20K), Mid-range ($20–40K), Higher cost ($40–65K), Very expensive ($65K+). Where a school publishes real, predictable merit aid, that's noted separately in the card — never folded into the tier itself.

Financial aid forms & the one-parent question

Some schools require only the FAFSA; others also require the CSS Profile, and a subset of those specifically require a noncustodial parent profile — meaning both parents' finances, regardless of custody arrangement. Schools that need a second parent's filing are flagged directly on their cards. Under the FAFSA Simplification Act, the parent required to file is whichever parent provided more than 50% of financial support in the 12 months before filing — not simply who has custody.
